A Decade of Culture
Kaios Kids International Inc. is an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formally incorporated in 2025 and based out of Jamaica, Queens, NY. For the last ten years, we have been dedicated to youth development, intergenerational mentorship, and the preservation of Caribbean culture through traditional Mas arts, textile fabrication, and structural wire-bending engineering. Our curriculum blends historical preservation with hands-on technical training, empowering the next generation of creative leaders and culminating in a proud public showcase at the annual Brooklyn Junior Carnival Parade over Labor Day weekend.

Many youth in the Caribbean diaspora are disconnected from their ancestral heritage, while traditional "mas-making" skills—such as wire-bending and intricate textile design—are at risk of fading. Kaios Kids International bridges this gap by providing a hands-on curriculum that fosters cultural identity, artistic skill, and community pride.

Our Programs and Pillars
Three connected pillars — performance, craft, and heritage — that prepare the next generation of Caribbean creative leaders.
Direct participation in the annual Junior Carnival Parade on September 5, 2026. Youth publicly showcase their finished large-scale costumes, building confidence through performance, community celebration, and the live presentation of their artistic achievements.
Hands-on, youth-led design and fabrication focused on structural armatures. Students learn traditional wire-bending, structural fabrication, and textile design — transforming PVC, wire and fabric into wearable, large-scale structural art.
Mentorship that connects traditional Mas history with modern creative expression and digital design. Blending Caribbean themes with contemporary pop-culture inspirations keeps cultural history accessible, engaging, and intergenerational.
Throughout the production season, youth participants will present their work-in-progress, design sketches, and prototypes during local Queens community events. This structured progression culminates in a full public presentation at the Brooklyn Junior Carnival Parade on September 5, 2026, demonstrating the collective impact of creative mentorship and technical training.
